• Kansas Asia Scholars Social Work Program on Korea

      The program immerses social work students in Korean culture and the philosophical, spiritual, religious, theoretical, and ideological bases of Korean social welfare through classes, three weeks study abroad, and extra-curricular activities.  Most educational and travel expenses of student participants will be covered via a scholarship.  Contact me at edc@ku.edu or 785-864-8939 for more information.  For the 2003-04 program, applications from students must be received by me, Edward R.     The Center for East Asian Studies (CEAS) at the University of Kansas was founded in 1959 and today remains the only such resource center in the entire Great Plains region. Its aim is to enhance skills in, and the knowledge and awareness of, the languages, traditions and the contemporary importance of East Asia among all the people of our state and nation. • Center for Information on Korean Culture (CIKC) at the Academy of Korean Studies

     The Academy of Korean Studies is a prestigious academic institute dedicated to research on Korea.  CIKC has been established to help locate distorted information on Korea and to provide the impetus and advice to correct it.
